​Welcome to the 2015 South Dakota Society for Human Resource Management State Conference!

The South Dakota SHRM State Council, along with the Southeast South Dakota SHRM chapter, are delighted to host this year’s State SHRM Conference in Yankton, South Dakota. The conference will be held at the Best Western Kelly Inn, the National Field Archery Association Headquarters, and on the beautiful Mount Marty College campus.

“HR: On Target” is this year’s theme and an acknowledgement of the struggles each of us face trying to be the best we can be! Whether we are navigating change, working with difficult people, or leading a team, this conference will feature tips for all of us who struggle to keep our focus and continue to hit the target! We have lined up a number of local and national speakers, vendors, and sponsors to help you and your company respond to the challenges we often face. Our keynote speakers: Sharon Waltner, Candy Whirley, Coach Kush, and Alice Dendinger will be focusing on change, leadership, and teamwork. Our breakout sessions will take you back to class and provide interesting lessons on many aspects of human resources for all levels of professionals.

Join us for Friday’s session, as we welcome Yankton native and national speaker Alice Dendinger. Alice will present “Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team” and prove once again that leadership and teamwork are the most untapped competitive business advantages that we as leaders can create. HR leaders, managers, and frontline supervisors are encouraged to attend. Tickets for Friday’s session can be purchased separately from the conference.
