Employer Webinar on Labor Market Information

PIERRE, S.D. – The Department of Labor and Regulation (DLR) and South Dakota Retailers Association (SDRA) are providing a free webinar Wednesday, May 17, at 10 a.m. (CDT).

“Tapping Into the Power of Labor Market Information” will cover how employers can use industry employment trends, occupational wage rates and worker demographics to make better informed business decisions.

“Our Labor Market Information Center produces valuable data that can help business, economic development and education leaders,” said state Labor and Regulation Secretary Marcia Hultman. “I hope our customers will better understand what is available and how to use it.”

Melodee Lane, communications and information manager, will show how to easily access these resources using the virtual labor market data system. A question and answer session will also be available.

“This webinar is a perfect opportunity for employers to learn about the vast labor economics data and services available at no cost from DLR,” said SDRA executive director Shawn Lyons.

Register online at http://ow.ly/YXQ9309KSpz. If you have difficulty, email donna@sdra.org your first and last name, name of business or agency, city and state. Closed captioning is available if requested via email by noon on Friday, May 12.
