The system of federal and state employment laws that govern businesses is complex, constantly developing, and difficult to navigate.  Brian Mundahl, Investigator with the Department of Labor, will be speaking about the top employment law mistakes that he sees businesses make.  Brian will discuss his experiences with handling the most common mistakes and how to avoid them in several areas including: bonus pay, shift differentials, overtime, tips and tip credit, State MW records, child labor and several other often missed regulations.

Dealing with employee leave issues has always been a key element of the HR function.  With COVID-19 and its variants, it has been elevated to perhaps the most important aspect of the HR function, especially due to both the medical and operational issues involved with employees who request leave, as well as those who should not be allowed to work because of a medical condition.
