Trauma-Informed Workplaces:
Building Resilience
Trauma-informed workplace practices help create a safe and supportive environment for all employees, especially those who have experienced trauma. This presentation will share research on trauma and how to apply it in the workplace. We will cover:
- How trauma affects the brain and body
- Different types of trauma people may face
- How trauma can influence behavior and job performance
- Key principles for building a trauma-informed workplace
By the end, participants will better understand how to recognize and respond to trauma at work and take steps to reduce its impact on daily operations.
Our speaker: Tifanie Petro, MS, is a nationally recognized speaker and trainer with over 17 years of experience in the fields of victim advocacy, trauma response, and systems collaboration. As the Victim Services Director at the Pennington County State’s Attorney’s Office, Tifanie blends practical experience with strategic leadership to drive change in how communities respond to trauma and support survivors.
