Diversity
Coming to Watertown
In John Lennon’s song “Imagine,” he wrote about “a brotherhood of man” and sang about people “sharing all the world.” Plan on attending Watertown, SD Unity in Diversity Event held annually at the Terry Redlin Art Center, where you too can have a glimpse into Lennon’s vision of a world where we all “can live as one.” Find yourself among a community of people animated by a spirit of pluralism – the quest to appreciate differences, to seek understanding across social and cultural barriers, and to risk transformation through interaction with others “not like us.” Share in an afternoon filled with music, cultural presentations, and inspirational stories of determination and personal adversities overshadowed by the triumph of the human spirit.
